Starmer urges G7 leaders to increase sanctions pressure on Russia
British Prime Minister Keir Starmer said that it is necessary to continue to inflict "maximum pain" on Putin by imposing additional sanctions and increasing military support for Ukraine.
According to Censor.NET, citing Yevropeiska Pravda, Starmer said this during a video conference of G7 leaders.
According to Starmer, since Russian dictator Vladimir Putin does not show that he is ready to make concessions, it is necessary to increase support for Ukraine in order to put the country in the best possible position for the future.
The British Prime Minister called on the G7 leaders to continue to inflict "maximum pain" on Putin by increasing military support for Ukraine and increasing economic pressure, including through additional sanctions where possible.
During the conversation, the leaders agreed that the unity of the G7 will be crucial in an unstable time in the world, and that it is necessary to work together to ensure international stability and security.
Earlier, Censor.NET reported that the EU ambassadors agreed on the 15th package of sanctions against Russia: it provides for restrictive measures against the Russian shadow fleet. As reported earlier, representatives of the European Union failed to approve the 15th package of sanctions against Russia on December 6.
