Since 24 February 2022, Russians have used hazardous chemicals 4,800 times along entire frontline - Support Forces

Russians are most actively using gas grenades of the K-51 and RG-VO types, which are usually used to suppress mass unrest. However, the use of these weapons as weapons against the military is prohibited by international law.
According to Censor.NET, citing the Telegram channel Stratcom of the AFU, this was reported by the Command of the Support Forces of the Armed Forces of Ukraine:
According to the Armed Forces Support Command, in September the enemy used chemical agents 277 times. In October, 356 cases were recorded, and in November - 116.
"These agents are prohibited for use, so Ukraine, as a signatory to the Chemical Weapons Convention, and its Armed Forces, which are the guarantor of its independence and sovereignty, adhere to international law and the requirements of the Chemical Weapons Convention in particular," said Artem Vlasiuk, a representative of the Radiation, Chemical and Biological Protection Department of the Armed Forces Support Command.
The use of hazardous chemicals often occurs in areas of the frontline where the enemy concentrates the most forces. To conceal this fact, Russian troops use heavy artillery and rocket and bomb fire, which makes it difficult to collect evidence for international investigations.
As a reminder, banned CS gas was found in samples of shells and soil from the war zone in Ukraine. Its presence is prohibited by the Chemical Weapons Convention.
