EU should maintain pragmatic and constructive approach to new Trump administration, - Meloni

Italian Prime Minister Giorgia Meloni has said that the European Union should take a pragmatic and constructive approach with US President-elect Donald Trump in order to prevent a trade war.
According to Censor.NET, her statement was quoted by Politico.
"It is important to maintain a pragmatic, constructive and open approach to the new Trump administration, capitalizing on areas of potential and fruitful cooperation between the EU and the US and trying to prevent commercial disputes that will certainly not benefit anyone," Maloney said.
The publication recalls that last week Trump spoke positively about Maloney, calling her a "fantastic leader and person."
Currently, Maloney is one of Trump's closest potential allies among EU leaders, representing a bridge between the EU and the team of the US president-elect, Politico emphasizes.
