Ukraine will receive 20 additional Marder infantry fighting vehicles from Germany in first half of 2025

Ukraine will receive 20 more infantry fighting vehicles from Germany

The German concern Rheinmetall has received an order to supply 20 more Marder infantry fighting vehicles to Ukraine as part of military assistance. The delivery is scheduled for the first half of 2025.

This is stated on the website of the concern, Censor.NET reports.

It is noted that the order for the supply of Marder infantry fighting vehicles in the 1A3 version was placed in December 2024 by the German government, which will take over the financing.

The German company did not disclose the exact value of the order, but it is known that it is a "double-digit number in millions of euros."

In the 1A3 version, the Marder is equipped with an additional laser rangefinder for efficient and accurate target engagement. The first 20 combat vehicles of this type were delivered by Rheinmetall Group on behalf of the German government in March 2023.

"In the spring of 2022, Rheinmetall began overhauling Marder 1A3 infantry fighting vehicles from its warehouses at its own expense. Since then, the combat vehicles have been continuously repaired and delivered for immediate deployment. The work is being carried out at the Group's facilities in Unterlüs and Kassel," the statement said.
