Russian troops continue to cut off the Vremivka ledge in the Donetsk region. This threatens the encirclement of Ukrainian defenders in the area of Velyka Novosilka.

It is noted that the most difficult situation in the area of Velyka Novosilka is now on the section Makarivka - Blahodatne - Storozhove.
"After the capture of Blahodatne, the enemy is constantly bringing infantry into the village in small groups, and continues to assault between Storozhove and Makarivka to cut off the latter, because they are not able to take it. Separately, there are attempts to enter Storozhove itself to take up positions and gain a foothold there," the statement said.
DeepState noted that all the movements of the Russian occupiers are aimed at enveloping Velyka Novosilka, blocking logistics and eventually occupying the village.
In particular, a few days ago, an attack was made on Novyi Komar, and it was partially successful, as the racists were able to get into the village.
At the same time, analysts believe that the most critical situation is currently unfolding around Makarivka, which "could have unpleasant consequences."
To recap, on December 12, DeepState analysts reported that the situation in the area of the "Uspenivka bag" (near the village of Uspenivka, Kurakhivka community, Pokrovsk district, Donetsk region) continues to deteriorate. According to them, units of the Defense Forces may be surrounded.
DeepState accuses the Donetsk operational and tactical group of inaction.
They also said that the commander of the Donetsk OTG, Oleksandr Lutsenko, had already been dismissed from his post, but transferred to another one in the Land Forces Command.
The Khortytsia military unit reported that Ukrainian Defense Forces units are repelling assaults on the outskirts of Uspenivka, Hannaivka Trudove, Romanivka and are countering the enemy's capture or encirclement of these settlements.
