BES received information about Ukrainian OnlyFans users: searches have begun

The Shevchenkivskyi District Court of Kyiv provided the Bureau of Economic Security with information on all Ukrainian citizens registered on the OnlyFans platform and receiving income there.
According to Ekonomichna Pravda, the court made the relevant decision on 20 September 2024, Censor.NET reports.
Thus, the court granted the BES detectives temporary access to information "about all citizens of Ukraine and other persons residing in Ukraine who have registered profiles (created accounts) on the OnlyFans platform, namely: surname, name, patronymic, date of birth, registration number of the taxpayer's account card, as well as other information (data) regarding the creators of paid content available to the State Tax Service".
It is noted that after receiving the information, the BES detectives began to conduct searches in the framework of criminal proceedings initiated under Article 212(3) of the Criminal Code of Ukraine (tax evasion on a large scale).
After contacting consultants, most of the models decided to voluntarily register as sole proprietors, declare their income, and pay tax to the budget. However, thanks to the decision of the Shevchenkivskyi Court, the BES received information about them.
MP Yaroslav Zheleznyak believes that it is abnormal to "simultaneously demand to pay taxes for porn and at the same time leave criminal liability for its production".
The parliamentarian hopes that law enforcement officers will not come to the OnlyFans model in relation to Article 301 of the Criminal Code (production, storage and distribution of porn).
The day before, Danylo Hetmantsev, the head of the Tax Committee and a "servant of the people", said that 350 Ukrainian models of the adult content service Onlyfans had declared UAH 305.4 million in income. They paid UAH 59 million in personal income tax and military duty.
