Heavy urban fighting is taking place in Kurakhove, occupiers are creeping like "ants" - OSGT "Khortytsia"
Heavy fighting is continuing in the entire Kurakhove sector and in the city itself. Ukrainian paratroopers are destroying the enemy, despite their considerable numbers.
According to Censor.NET, this was reported by the OSGT "Khortytsia".
"The enemy prevails, there are really a lot of them. The occupiers are creeping in like 'ants'. They are crawling into cracks like 'cockroaches'. They are hiding in buildings like ‘rats’," the statement said.
Operators of the airmobile brigade's drones are working without a break, and engineers barely have time to equip new drones to take to the air and clear the territory of the enemy.
"Heavy fighting is continuing along the entire Kurakhove sector and in the city itself. The urban area serves as both a shelter for the occupiers and their final resting place. And this is thanks to the courage and resilience of our brothers-in-arms who are never tired of destroying the enemy," the OSGT "Khortytsia" said.
Hostilities in the eastern direction
During the day, the enemy, in an attempt to improve the tactical position, conducted offensive actions in the directions of Hlushkivka, Zahryzove, Lozova, Zelenyi Hai, Kopanky. With the support of armoured vehicles, he tried to conduct assault actions in the direction of Stelmakhivka. At the same time, in the directions of Novoiehorivka, Ivanivka, Verkhniokamianske, in Serebrianske forestry and in the area of Bilohorivka.
The enemy's assault units attacked our fortifications in the urban area of Chasiv Yar and Kurakhove. The enemy tried to advance towards Sukha Balka, Miroliubivka, Lysivka, Dachenske, Novyi Trud, Zvirove, Solone, Novovasylivka, Ukrainka and Petropavlivka, and sought to capture Shevchenko.
"The fighting is continuing, the situation is dynamic. Our troops continue to hold their positions and take measures to improve the tactical situation. In the area of responsibility of the OSGT ‘Khortytsia’ 123 firefights with the enemy took place yesterday. The enemy launched 1 missile strike at the positions of our troops and settlements, 53 air strikes with the use of 80 GABs and 447 strikes by kamikaze drones," the military said.
Over the past day, the Russian aggressor carried out 4,120 shellings of our troops' positions in the eastern operational zone.
The enemy's losses over the past day are as follows:
- personnel - 1467;
- tanks - 6;
- armoured combat vehicles - 15;
- guns and mortars - 36;
- electronic warfare systems - 5;
- air defence systems - 1;
- automotive vehicles - 80;
- special equipment - 23;
- UAV control points - 1;
- shelters - 206;
- fuel and lubricants depots - 1;
- ammunition depots - 7.
Over the last day, 7 combat engagements with the enemy took place in the eastern operational zone. Two air strikes involving the dropping of 5 GABs and 9 kamikaze attacks were also recorded. The enemy carried out 314 shellings of our troops' positions.
As a reminder, the OSGT "Khortytsia" denied the information that some of the Ukrainian Armed Forces were surrounded in the area of Uspenivka and Trudove in Donetsk region.
