Ukraine receives $1.1bn from IMF, funds will be used to finance critical budget expenditures - Shmyhal

Today, 23 December 2024, Ukraine received $1.1 billion from the IMF.
This was announced by the Prime Minister of Ukraine Denys Shmyhal in his telegram channel, Censor.NET reports.
According to him, this is the sixth tranche under a joint programme under the EFF Extended Fund Facility.
"The funds have already been transferred to Ukrainian accounts and will be used to finance critical budget expenditures. In total, Ukraine has already received $9.8 billion from the IMF under this programme. We are grateful to the International Monetary Fund for its unwavering support of our country during the full-scale war," Shmyhal summarises.
Earlier it was reported that the World Bank's Executive Board had approved funding for Ukraine in the amount of $2.05 billion for the Development Policy Operations (DPO) programme.
