Since the beginning of the full-scale invasion, as of the end of December 2024, Russia has damaged 1938 facilities in 715 Ukrainian medical institutions and completely destroyed 297 facilities in 114 medical institutions.
This is reported by Interfax-Ukraine with reference to the Ministry of Health, Censor.NET reports.
Thus, hospitals in Kharkiv, Donetsk, Mykolaiv, Kyiv, Chernihiv, Dnipropetrovsk, Kherson, and Zaporizhzhia regions suffered the greatest losses.
As the agency emphasized, it is still impossible to obtain comprehensive information about the degree of destruction of medical facilities in the temporarily occupied territories.
At the same time, the ministry said that since the beginning of the full-scale war, Ukraine has fully restored 576 facilities and partially restored 372 medical facilities. In particular, 124 medical facilities were successfully restored and put into operation in 2024.
In 2024, more than UAH 4 billion was allocated from the state budget for the implementation of 143 healthcare facilities renovation projects. Seven projects have already been fully implemented, and 22 projects are at the final stage of implementation. Construction work has begun and is ongoing on 59 projects.
