Defence Ministry postpones voting for members of Public Anti-Corruption Council to 7 January

The online voting for members of the Public Anti-Corruption Council under the Ministry of Defence of Ukraine has been postponed to 7 January 2025.
According to Censor.NET, this was reported by the Ministry of Defence of Ukraine.
Today, 26 December, elections to the Public Anti-Corruption Council under the Ministry of Defence were to take place. However, since the beginning of the voting, users who tried to support their candidates have complained about the inability to cast their votes. The service periodically went down or reported a queue.
Yurii Hudymenko, a retired junior sergeant of the Armed Forces and head of the Ukrainian Association "Mriya", said that the voting for the composition of the Public Anti-Corruption Council under the Ministry of Defence was actually disrupted by the Ministry itself.
At 13:07, the Ministry of Defence of Ukraine announced that it had decided to postpone the voting date due to technical problems.
The new voting date is 7 January 2025.
"We are taking all necessary measures to eliminate technical problems and ensure stable operation of the system throughout the voting process.
Once again, we apologise for any inconvenience and thank everyone who tried to join this important process. We appreciate your activity, your trust and willingness to build a transparent system together," the Ministry said.
The Public Anti-Corruption Council was formed in spring 2023. Its activities involve effective public participation in the development of anti-corruption measures in the Ministry.
The Council is a permanent collegial advisory body of the Ministry of Defence of Ukraine, established to ensure public participation in the assessment of corruption risks in the Ministry of Defence for its formation. Other tasks include analysing corruption risks, preventing and combating corruption, and establishing cooperation between the MoD and NGOs and other civil society institutions.
Candidates for participation in the selection were submitted by NGOs whose state registration took place at least two years before the competition was announced and whose statutory activities are related to preventing and combating corruption.
