HACCU confiscates property of pro-Russian TV host Kot

On December 25, 2024, the High Anti-Corruption Court ruled to satisfy the claim of the Ministry of Justice to impose sanctions on former Ukrainian TV presenter Yurii Kot in accordance with the Law of Ukraine "On Sanctions".
This was reported by the Ministry of Justice of Ukraine, Censor.NET informs.
As noted, Yurii Kot, who currently resides in Moscow, is known for his pro-Russian views and active cooperation with Russian media, where he systematically spreads anti-Ukrainian propaganda. He is also a member of the anti-Ukrainian organizations "Immortal Regiment of Ukraine" and "Committee for the Salvation of Ukraine".
"According to the court's decision, the following assets of Kot are subject to forfeiture to the state: four land plots in Zhytomyr region, three firearms, and a SKODA OCTAVIA ELEGANCE car. In addition, the property rights to seven television projects are subject to confiscation," the statement said.
The court also ruled to confiscate 59% of the share in the authorized capital of Zolota Fishka LLC and money placed in accounts with a commercial bank.
The court's decision may be appealed to the Appeals Chamber of the High Anti-Corruption Court within five days of its announcement. The right to file an appeal is granted to the parties to the case and/or their representatives.
What preceded this?
In 2022, the Prosecutor General's Office sent to court an indictment for high treason against a former Ukrainian TV presenter who moved to Russia. As stated in the indictment, according to the expert's opinion, the materials presented by Yu.V. Kot contain information that harms the sovereignty, territorial integrity and inviolability, defense capability, state and information security of Ukraine.
