Poroshenko names necessary steps for Ukraine’s victory in war and peace in 2025

Poroshenko on steps for victory

Petro Poroshenko named the steps that can ensure Ukraine's victory in the war with Russia and told what is needed to make peace a reality in the coming 2025.

This was reported by Censor.NET with reference to the ES press service.

"The first position. Return the word "victory" to the Ukrainian lexicon. Because victory brings us closer to peace, and freezing the war prolongs it. I use only the word "victory". And I advise everyone to do the same. Because it sets you up in a completely different way. You are an optimist, no matter how hard it is," the fifth President of Ukraine emphasized.

"Second position. Stabilize the front line and give everything to the front. It cannot be the way it is now. I communicate with the brigades, and the total number of brigades, individual regiments and battalions we are helping has already reached 200. And I can emphasize that the vast majority of them lack the most basic necessities. And not even artillery shells, but FPVs. Now there is a critical shortage of night Mavic drones. They simply do not exist, and without them the troops are "blind". Why didn't the government supply them? Because it was unprofitable to buy them. Because everyone knows the price of night Mavic from 135 to 150 thousand hryvnias. You can't make money on them, you can't sell them for 300. This means that the state simply did not buy them. This is unacceptable," Poroshenko said.

It is also necessary to put the economy on a military footing, Poroshenko said. "We should have done this back in March last year. We have to advance in terms of technology, to do those unique things that the defense industry of Ukraine is capable of producing today," the fifth president said.

As an example, he mentioned the development and production of the Ai-Petri SV system for countering technical intelligence: "The fact that it works wonders at the front, and the fact that there is a queue for it until April-May next year is good. We have increased production volumes 10 times, and today significant sections of the frontline have already been blocked, at least as far as artillery units, control centers, evacuation measures, and ammunition depots are concerned," Poroshenko said.

At the same time, he noted that the state does not finance the production of these means at all. "This has nothing to do with putting the economy on a military track. Reduce taxes for the defense industry. Ensure fast and effective decision-making - from booking to military acceptance," the ES leader said.

"Putting the economy on a military track means returning personal income tax money to the brigades. Just look, before the New Year, 2 billion was given to the brigades' accounts, and they used it in two days. 70 billion was on the accounts of the State Special Communications Service of Ukraine for the Prevention of Corruption, on the accounts of other intermediaries, and the army received nothing from it," Poroshenko said.

"Ensure that all military funding is concentrated in the military special fund. This means that the state has no right to spend money earmarked for the Defense Forces for any other purpose," the politician said.

"The next position is to stabilize the financial system. Look how well the banking reform that Hontareva and I have been implementing since 2014 has been done. The financial and banking system withstood three years of full-scale war. Because these Augean's stables were cleaned out," he emphasized.

"We must dramatically intensify our efforts to join the EU and NATO. The European Commission dictates to us: the rule of law, independence of the courts, protection of opposition rights. Protecting the rights of the opposition means immediately lifting the ban on international travel and inter-parliamentary diplomacy for opposition deputies. This means the immediate lifting of any bans and closure of channels, including Channel 5 and Priamyi. This means parliamentary pluralism, cessation of corrupt activities of the Rada TV channel and the "single marathon", and ensuring effective, public civil discussion," Poroshenko said.

"Given the risks that are now concentrated in the United States, we must make our relations with the European Union much more predictable. And we have to make huge progress on our future membership in the European Union," Poroshenko emphasized.

"And NATO is about not passing on the threat of war to future generations. Otherwise, the war and the danger to Ukraine will be a never-ending story. There are no other forms of guarantee," he emphasized.

As for the possibility of peace in 2025, Poroshenko said the following:

"For this, we have to become stronger. Russia must weaken through sanctions, through strengthening the Armed Forces of Ukraine, through strengthening the Ukrainian economy. Do I believe that peace is possible in 2025? I do. Let's make Ukraine stronger."

"We cannot take Russia by numbers, because it has much higher mobilization reserves and resources. But we can be ahead technologically. And in these conditions, with the support of the West, this victory can be ensured," the politician believes.

"We just have to fight. We have to fight for the support of the Americans. We need to fight for the Europeans. We need to build a relationship of trust. And to do this, we need to fight corruption, we need to fight incompetence, we need to fight electoral schizophrenia and ensure unity in the country. And then Ukraine will be strong," Poroshenko emphasized.

"Remember these words. Those who are campaigning for the elections now are distributors of Russian psyop. Because Russia wants us to be weak. And some short-sighted politicians who want to break through to power do not understand that we can lose Ukraine because of these processes," the ES leader warned.
