Cabinet of Ministers approves list of positions of military personnel who are required to speak English

The Cabinet of Ministers has approved a list of positions of military officers, sergeants and non-commissioned officers who are required to speak English.
This was announced by the government's permanent representative in the Verkhovna Rada, Taras Melnychuk, Censor.NET reports.
"In accordance with the Law of Ukraine "On the Use of English in Ukraine", the list of positions of officers, sergeants and non-commissioned officers, candidates for which from among contract servicemen are required to speak English, in the Ministry of Defense, the intelligence agency of the Ministry of Defense and the Armed Forces has been approved," Melnychuk said.
According to the government's decision, such requirements will apply to positions in the State Special Transport Service, the State Protection Department, the Security Service of Ukraine, the Foreign Intelligence Service, the State Service for Special Communications and Information Protection, the State Border Guard Service and the National Guard.
It is stipulated that these provisions shall enter into force four years after the date of termination or lifting of martial law in Ukraine.
