Cabinet of Ministers amended rules for crossing border by men aged 18-25 during martial law

Additional restrictions are introduced in border area in Transcarpathia

The Cabinet of Ministers of Ukraine has amended the rules for crossing the state border by men aged 18 to 25 during martial law.

This was reported by Censor.NET with reference to the representative of the Cabinet of Ministers in the Verkhovna Rada Taras Melnychuk on his telegram channel.

It is noted that the relevant decision was made at a government meeting on Tuesday.

In particular, changes were made to the rules for crossing the state border by Ukrainian citizens.

"It is stipulated that in the event of the introduction of martial law on the territory of Ukraine, the passage across the state border of male citizens of Ukraine aged 18 to 25 years who have served under contract in the Armed Forces or an intelligence agency of the Ministry of Defence, concluded under the conditions stipulated by the fourth paragraph of part three of Article 23 of the Law of Ukraine ‘On Military Duty and Military Service’, and who have not performed military service (except for basic military service) prior to the conclusion of such a contract, is carried out by authorised officials of the State Border Guard Service, subject to the rules for crossing the state border of Ukraine and availability:

  • a certificate issued by the commander of a military unit (head of a district (united district), city (district in cities, united city) territorial recruitment and social support centre), head of a relevant unit of the intelligence agency of the Ministry of Defence of Ukraine, in the form approved by the Ministry of Defence of Ukraine, containing information on the conclusion of such a contract;
  • military registration document.
