In 2024, Ukraine managed to return 356 more people from Russian captivity than in 2023.
This was reported by the Coordination Headquarters for the Treatment of POWs, Censor.NET reports.
"In the past year, we were able to ensure 11 exchanges and returned 356 more people than in 2023. Therefore, we are glad that 1358 of our people were rescued, but at the same time we are sad because many more of our compatriots are still in Russian captivity," the Coordination Center said.
As a reminder, on Monday, December 30, 189 citizens were released and returned to Ukraine from Russian captivity. The Coordination Center stated that this is one of the largest exchanges since the full-scale invasion of Russia.
