Zelenskyy appoints Tkachenko to replace Popko as head of KCMA

Tymur Tkachenko, the new head of KCMA

President of Ukraine Volodymyr Zelenskyy has changed the head of the Kyiv City Military Administration. Tymur Tkachenko was appointed instead of Serhii Popko.

The relevant decrees were published on the website of the head of state, Censor.NET reports.

"In accordance with Article 4 of the Law of Ukraine "On the Legal Regime of Martial Law", to appoint TKACHENKO Tymur Firuddinovych as the head of the Kyiv City Military Administration," the document says.

Previously, Tkachenko worked as Deputy Minister of Community and Territorial Development, Deputy Minister for Strategic Industries, and headed the KCSA's Department of Public Works.

Popko has been heading the KCMA since October 2022.
