Sybiha spoke about expectations from Poland’s presidency of the EU Council

Ukrainian Foreign Minister Andrii Sybiha has told what Ukraine expects from Poland's presidency of the EU Council during the first half of 2025.

He said this on the social network X, Censor.NET reports.

According to the minister, in the first half of 2025, Ukraine counts on Polish leadership, principled position and determination.

Sibiga hopes to strengthen cooperation with her Polish counterpart Radoslaw Sikorski "to advance the EU-Ukraine agenda."

"We expect new initiatives to strengthen military support for Ukraine and sanctions pressure on the aggressor. We are committed to a dynamic process of Ukraine's accession to the EU, including the opening of cluster 1 and other clusters in the screening process," he added.

On Wednesday, January 1, 2025, Poland officially assumed the presidency of the Council of the European Union, which will last six months, until June 30.
