Trump: Russia attacked Ukraine because of Biden administration’s incompetence

US President-elect Donald Trump has accused the current administration of White House Chief of Staff Joe Biden of provoking the war in Ukraine.
Trump said this at a press conference at the Mar-a-Lago estate on January 7, Censor.NET reports.
He believes that the withdrawal of US troops from Afghanistan was "poorly handled," so Russia, seeing this, decided to launch a full-scale invasion of Ukraine.
"I believe Russia decided to attack Ukraine because it perceived the Biden administration as incompetent. They have no idea what they are doing. But we know exactly what we’re doing, and this will come to an end. We have a great army," Trump stated.
He also said that he "understands Russia's feelings" in opposing Ukraine's accession to NATO.
According to Trump, the possibility of Ukraine joining NATO has been "a big part of the problem for Russia for many, many years."
"And somewhere along the line, Biden said: "No, they (Ukrainians - Ed.) should be able to join NATO." Well, then someone in Russia shows up on their doorstep. And I can understand their feelings on this issue," the Republican added.
