Selection of war veterans’ support specialists according to updated standards has started in Ukraine

The Ministry of Veterans' Affairs of Ukraine has opened a call for applications for participation in the selection of a specialist to support war veterans and demobilised persons in accordance with the updated professional standard.
This was reported by Censor.NET with reference to the press service of the Ministry of Veterans.
As noted, candidates for the position can apply only in electronic form through the e-Veteran web platform.
Who can become a specialist in supporting war veterans and demobilized persons?
- man / female citizen of Ukraine
- those with at least a bachelor's degree. Fields of knowledge: "education", "culture, arts and humanities", "social sciences, journalism and information", "business, administration and law", "information technology", "engineering, manufacturing and construction", "healthcare and social security", "transport and services" and "security and defence"
In case of equal number of points, preference will be given to candidates who have the status of a war veteran, a person with special services to the Motherland, an injured participant of the Revolution of Dignity, a family member of a deceased war veteran, a Defender of Ukraine and are registered in the Unified State Register of War Veterans (USRWV).
Priority will be given to candidates with professional qualities and the ability to provide effective services.
Introduction of the position of a specialist in support of war veterans and demobilised persons
As reported, in April 2024, the Register of Qualifications included data on the professional standard "Specialist in Support of War Veterans and Demobilised Persons".
In particular, the support specialist will provide explanations on opportunities, rights, guarantees, benefits, public, social, educational, rehabilitation, psychological and other services. For example, on how to prepare relevant documents, etc.
Professional training of specialists will be carried out at universities and veteran development centres of the Ministry of Veterans in accordance with a standard educational programme.
The support specialists will work in municipal institutions, including veterans' spaces, whose activities will be standardised by the relevant regulations of the Ministry of Veterans.
Earlier, the government adopted a resolution that defines the mechanism for ensuring the activities of support specialists for war veterans and demobilised persons in the system of transition from military service to civilian life.
