Preparation for elections after war requires at least six months, - "servant of people" Shuliak

Preparing for elections in Ukraine after the war will take at least six months.
This was stated by the head of the Servant of the People party Olena Shuliak in an interview with RBC-Ukraine, Censor.NET reports.
According to Shuliak, a document was signed at a meeting of all parliamentary factions and groups in December 2023, according to which everyone agreed to a minimum period of six months to prepare for elections after the end of martial law.
"That is, six months is the minimum period when everyone will prepare for the elections both at the technical level and at the level of adopting the relevant legislation," Shuliak explained.
The head of the party also drew attention to the important role of the Central Election Commission, which is responsible for voter registration and polling station accounting. Particular attention will be paid to the restoration of polling stations destroyed during the war, as many of them were located in schools and kindergartens that were destroyed by the enemy.
"Unfortunately, thousands of such polling stations were destroyed because they were mostly located either in kindergartens or schools that were destroyed by the aggressors. Therefore, it is necessary to understand where the new polling stations will be located and what they will be based on," Shuliak emphasized.
As a reminder, President of Ukraine Volodymyr Zelenskyy recently said that elections in Ukraine can take place only after the end of the hot phase of the war, when our country has a strong position.
