Shops continue to operate in Pokrovsk, enemy is 3 kilometers away from city - RMA

OSGT Khortytsia about the Pokrovsk direction

In Pokrovsk, Donetsk region, shops and pharmacies continue to operate for civilians who stayed in the city. Also, the Ukrposhta branch will continue to operate until January 15.

This was reported by Censor.NET with reference to the words of the head of the Donetsk regional military administration Vadym Filashkin during a telethon.

"There are several shops and pharmacies in Pokrovsk. One more Ukrposhta branch will work until January 15. I thank them for their work. But, unfortunately, the enemy is approaching the city. There are about three kilometers left to the city," Filashkin said.

He noted that it is impossible to restore electricity supply in the city.

"There is no electricity and gas supply in Pokrovsk. Just six months ago we drilled a huge number of wells, but they are not working now. We have installed generators and are supporting people with everything we can. We have set up several Points of Invincibility, heating stations, so people can keep warm and charge their phones. But, unfortunately, it is not possible to restore electricity now," explained the head of the RMA.

He clarified that all children have been evacuated from Pokrovsk, but 7,200 residents still remain in the city.

In total, almost 40 thousand people remain along the front line in the Donetsk region. Authorities, police and rescue units remain on the ground to provide the necessary assistance to the population.

As a reminder, on December 13, Censor.NET Editor-in-Chief Yurii Butusov held a live broadcast on the YouTube channel Butusov+, dedicated to the situation at the frontline near the towns of Pokrovsk and Kurakhove.
