US strikes at Houthis’ underground storage facilities for advanced weapons in Yemen
U.S. troops have launched precision strikes on Yemeni Houthis' underground warehouses where terrorists were storing modern weapons.
This was reported by the U.S. Central Command (CENTCOM) on the social network X, Censor.NET reports.
It is noted that US Central Command forces conducted numerous precision strikes on two underground caches of advanced conventional weapons (ACW) in the Iranian-backed Houthi controlled territories of Yemen on Wednesday, January 8.
CENTCOM clarified that these facilities were used by the Houthis to attack U.S. warships and merchant ships in the southern Red Sea and Gulf of Aden.
There were no injuries to U.S. personnel or damage to equipment.
The Central Command added that the attack is part of efforts to stop Iranian-backed Houthis from threatening regional partners, as well as military and commercial vessels in the region.
Earlier it was reported that Russia had recruited hundreds of Yemenis to take part in hostilities against Ukraine.
Russia also sent satellite reconnaissance data to Yemeni Houthi rebels to attack merchant ships in the Red Sea with missiles and UAVs.
