EU ready to take initiative in helping Ukraine if US is not ready - Kallas
High Representative of the European Union for Foreign Affairs and Security Policy Kaja Kallas said that the United States is not interested in Russia's victory, but "if the United States is not ready," the European Union is ready to take the initiative in helping Ukraine.
According to Censor.NET, citing European Pravda, Kallas said this before a meeting of the Contact Group on Ukraine's Defense at the Rustein air base on January 9.
Thus, she noted that the European Union is ready to take the initiative "if the United States is not ready for this."
Kallas also advised against speculating on the future of U.S. support at this stage.
According to her, regardless of who leads the country, the United States "has no interest in Russia being the strongest country in the world."
