This year's "Wounded Warrior Package", which will be distributed to the Armed Forces, will include adaptive clothing, hygiene products and special utensils, a total of 30 items.
This was reported by the Ministry of Defence, Censor.NET reports.
As noted, the kit is designed to take into account the different situations in which wounded servicemen may find themselves. It will include hygiene products that are particularly important in the first days of staying in medical facilities, special utensils to facilitate eating and drinking, and adaptive clothing.
"We are working to simplify the provision of medical care to the military. New clothes don't need to be taken off - it is enough to unfasten special fasteners for quick access to the wound site. This significantly speeds up medical procedures and helps save precious time that can save lives. Taking care of our defenders is our duty and priority," said Deputy Minister of Defence Dmytro Klymenkov.
It is also reported that the "Wounded Warrior Package" for female defenders will differ from the men's one, taking into account their needs.
The kit will be given to wounded servicemen from the moment they receive medical care in a stabilisation unit or hospital.
According to the Deputy Minister of Defence of Ukraine, Brigadier General of Justice Serhii Melnyk, the "Wounded Warrior Package" is one of the important initiatives of the Ministry of Defence to support Ukrainian servicemen during their treatment and recovery from injuries.
The Ministry of Defence noted that the testing of adaptive clothing was carried out in October last year in the Zaporizhzhia direction.
In order to launch the project, the Cabinet of Ministers of Ukraine must adopt a resolution on its financing.
