Russian Defence Ministry claims to have shot down allegedly 55 Ukrainian drones

On the night of 21 January, Russian air defence forces allegedly intercepted and destroyed 55 Ukrainian drones over six regions of the Russian Federation.
According to Censor.NET, this was reported by the Russian Ministry of Defence.
In particular, it is noted that 22 UAVs were eliminated over the territory of Bryansk region, 12 - over the territory of Rostov region, ten - over the territory of Smolensk region, six UAVs - over the territory of Voronezh region, four - over the territory of Saratov region and one - over the territory of Kursk region.
At the same time, it became known that the "Carpet" plan was introduced at the airports of Kazan and Ulyanovsk. Departing and arriving flights were delayed.
Residents of the Saratov region reported explosions and air defence operations.
Authorities in Voronezh region reported that drones attacked an oil depot in the Liskinsky district of Voronezh region. All the drones were shot down by air defence and electronic warfare systems.
As a result of air defence operations in the Smolensk region, one of the drones crashed into a residential building.
