EU should not take over all aid to Ukraine if US stops it, - Slovak Foreign Minister Blanar

EU praises Ukraine’s progress in reforms on its way to membership

Slovak Foreign Minister Juraj Blanar said that the European Union should not bear the entire burden of helping Ukraine in case of the US suspension of support.

He said this in an interview with the Slovak edition of TASR, Censor.NET reports.

The Foreign Minister also noted that Slovakia refuses to provide military aid to Ukraine, limiting itself to humanitarian support.

"If some European Union countries decide to continue military support for Ukraine, it is their business, but we reject the idea that the EU should take on this responsibility," the minister said.

Blanchard noted that Trump had declared his intention to end the war in Ukraine during the election campaign. "Let's wait to see how he presents how he wants to resolve this conflict, and we are ready to be a part of it," he added.
