Russian invaders continue to storm the positions of Ukrainian defenders. A total of 117 combat engagements have taken place since the beginning of the day.
This is stated in the report of the General Staff of the Armed Forces of Ukraine on the situation at the front as of January 24, Censor.NET reports.
Russian attacks on Ukraine
Border settlements continue to suffer from cynical shelling from the territory of the Russian Federation, in particular Velyka Pysarivka, Hirky, Pokrovka, Kucherivka in the Sumy region; Yanzhulivka in the Chernihiv region.
Situation in Kharkiv region
In the Kharkiv direction, our defenders repelled one enemy attack near Vovchansk.
In the Kupiansk direction, the enemy carried out nine assault actions near Pishchane, Hlushkivka, Nova Kruhliakivka, Zelenyi Hai and Zahryzove. Four combat engagements are ongoing.
The situation in the East
In the Lyman direction, the invading army attacked 11 times near the settlements of Novoiehorivka, Kopanky, Zelena Dolyna and Torske. Four combat engagements remained incomplete.
Ukrainian defense forces repelled 25 Russian attacks near Chasiv Yar, Vasiukivka, Novomarkove and Bila Hora in the Kramatorsk direction, 17 combat engagements are still ongoing.
In the Toretsk direction, the enemy attacked 13 times near Toretsk, Krymske, Leonidivka and Shcherbynivka. Four attacks are still ongoing.
In the Pokrovsk direction, since the beginning of the day, the occupiers have made 46 attempts to push our defenders from their positions near the settlements of Vodiane Druhe, Baranivka, Myroliubivka, Yelyzavetivka, Promin, Lysivka, Zelene, Pokrovsk, Novoukrainka, Udachne, Kotlyne, Novoielyzavetivka, Uspenivka, Sribne, Andriivka, Dachne, Ulakly and Yantarne. The defense forces are holding back the enemy's offensive and repelled 30 attacks, 16 firefights are still ongoing. The enemy's losses are being clarified.
The situation in the South
Today, in the Novopavlivka direction, the enemy made one attempt to attack near Kostiantynopil, and the combat engagement is still ongoing.
In the Orikhiv direction, the enemy, with the support of aviation, attacked three times in the directions of Mala Tokmachka and Novodanylivka.
In the Prydniprovske direction, our troops repelled two enemy attacks, one combat engagement is still ongoing.
The situation in the North
In the operational zone in the Kursk region, units of the Ukrainian Defense Forces repelled six attacks by Russian invaders over the past day, five attacks are still ongoing. The enemy made over 240 attacks, including four from multiple launch rocket systems.
According to the General Staff, the situation in other frontline areas has not changed significantly.
