Russians have entered large part of Velyka Novosilka, our soldiers are holding line closer to outskirts - OSGT "Khortytsia"

Currently, the Ukrainian military is holding certain lines on the outskirts of the settlement of Velyka Novosilka, Donetsk region.
This was stated by the spokesman for the "Khortytsia" Operational and Strategic Group of Troops (OSGT) Viktor Trehubov during a telethon, Censor.NET reports citing RBC-Ukraine.
According to him, the Ukrainian forces hold some positions within the settlement, but it is closer to its outskirts.
"Any other actions could lead to their encirclement and unnecessary losses among Ukrainian defenders. Therefore, as of now, the Russians have entered a significant part of the settlement, while the Ukrainians are holding certain borders to prevent them (Russian troops - Ed.) from moving further," Trehubov said.
As a reminder, on the night of 26 January, the DeepState project reported that Russians had advanced in a number of settlements in Donetsk region, including Velyka Novosilka. The OSGT "Khortytsia" denied the loss of Velyka Novosilka and said that the fighting was ongoing and the situation was dynamic.
