Occupiers plan to erect monument to propagandists in Melitopol who justify Russia’s crimes - NRC

Occupiers in Melitopol want to erect a monument to their propagandists

In Melitopol, Zaporizhzhia region, the Russian occupation administration decided to "honor" the so-called journalists who work to justify the Kremlin's crimes.

This was reported by Censor.NET with reference to the National Resistance Center.

As noted, the occupiers plan to erect a monument in the form of a bronze figure of a journalist in a bulletproof vest with the inscription "press". The camera he will hold in his hands, according to the propagandists, should symbolize "a weapon in the struggle for truth."

However, instead of actually fighting for the truth, these "journalists" are tools of propaganda. They hide the war crimes of the Russian army, distort reality and spread lies about the "liberation mission". Because of their activities, the international community does not see the scale of repression, deportations and destruction of Ukrainian cities by the occupiers.

It is reported that local residents of Melitopol are outraged by this decision, as the city lacks basic services such as water, heat, and electricity, and the occupation authorities spend resources on the construction of propaganda symbols.
