Zakhar Podkydyshev, a journalist from Chernivtsi and a soldier, went missing in the Donetsk region while performing a combat mission in the Kurakhove direction.
This was reported by the Institute of Mass Information, Censor.NET reports.
"This information was confirmed by his brother Yehor Podkydyshev to the regional representative of the Institute of Mass Information, Alona Chorna. However, he could not provide any more information," the IMI noted.
What is known about journalist Zakhar Podkydyshev?
It is noted that Zakhar Podkydyshev joined the Ukrainian army more than two months ago. He performed a combat mission in the Kurakhove direction and did not get in touch afterwards.
Prior to his military service, the journalist worked for various Ukrainian media outlets, specialising in domestic politics and economics. In particular, since May 2023, he has worked as an editor at UNN.
Podkydyshev also worked in the press service of the Chernivtsi City Council and was an advisor to the mayor.
