Armed Forces of Ukraine will soon be able to shoot down Russian drones with "Tryzub" laser weapon - Sukharevsky

The Armed Forces of Ukraine will soon be able to destroy Russian attack drones using the domestic laser system Tryzub.
According to Censor.NET, this was announced by Vadym Sukharevsky, commander of the Unmanned Systems Forces of the Armed Forces of Ukraine, in an interview with the PRESSING project.
According to him, the Ukrainians were able to develop their own laser weapon called Tryzub in a few months. Tests are currently underway: this weapon burns through metal and knocks down targets.
"I am supporting this project so that with the help of technological solutions we can effectively shoot down enemy reconnaissance drones, ensure the defense of strategic facilities and places of residence of our population," Sukharevsky said.
According to the USF commander, the Tryzub system is also capable of destroying aircraft, which it demonstrated during the tests.
Sukharevsky expressed confidence that the laser will soon be able to shoot down air targets on a par with mobile fire groups using machine guns.
He added that such developments could help Ukraine become a technological country.
It should be noted that any detailed characteristics of the Tryzub complex, including the laser power, are currently unknown.
