Trump thanks Vucic for helping Ukraine defend itself from Russian aggression
US President Donald Trump has sent congratulations to Serbian President Aleksandar Vucic on the occasion of the Statehood Day, where he thanked him for supporting the people of Ukraine in "defending against Russian aggression."
The Serbian leader posted this on Facebook, Censor.NET reports.
"We highly appreciate Serbia's significant contributions to international security, whether it is supporting the people of Ukraine in their defense against Russian aggression or Serbia's contributions to numerous peacekeeping missions around the world," Trump said in his greeting.
The US president noted that the United States "fully supports Serbia's further integration into the Euro-Atlantic space, as well as its efforts to promote peaceful and prosperous relations with its neighbors and partners in the region."
