I am ready to meet with Trump - Zelenskyy
President Volodymyr Zelenskyy is ready for a meeting with his American counterpart, Donald Trump, and is waiting for the teams to agree on its details.
The head of state said this in an interview with The Guardian, Censor.NET reports.
"As for President Trump, he said he was waiting for me in Washington. And we are looking forward to our teams agreeing on the dates and schedule of meetings in the United States. That is, as soon as it is agreed, we are ready - I am ready to meet," the head of state said.
In addition, he noted that the Ukrainian authorities are facing "a very busy week and month" as several meetings have already been scheduled, and "work with the American side has intensified even more."
"We will have meetings with President Trump's team. I think I will meet in Munich in the coming days with Vice President Vance and the entire team. I also have several meetings planned - there are two dozen important senators and congressmen. These will be separate, different meetings. There will also be many meetings with European leaders. We expect that my team will have the opportunity to contact Kellogg and other members of the Trump team," he added.
Zelenskyy also announced a visit to Ukraine by representatives of the White House.
This weekend, Trump said he would "probably" meet with Zelenskyy this week, and it is possible that the Ukrainian president could fly to Washington from Munich, The Guardian reports.
Earlier, it was reported that a bilateral meeting between Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelenskyy and US Vice President Jay di Vance would take place on February 14 at the Munich Security Conference.
