Umierov meets with British Defense Secretary Healey: they discuss priorities for AFU
Ukrainian Defense Minister Rustem Umierov met with British Defense Secretary John Healey before the meeting of the Contact Group on Ukraine's Defense.
According to Censor.NET, Umerov posted this on his Facebook page.
"Before the meeting of the Contact Group on Ukraine's Defense, I spoke with John Healey, who is chairing the meeting of the allies for the first time today.
I am grateful to him for his leadership and the new commitments that the UK is making to strengthen Ukraine's defense capabilities," he said in a statement.
It is noted that the parties discussed the agenda of the meeting, key expectations and priorities for the Armed Forces that need to be addressed today.
"The United Kingdom is our strategic ally, and this is confirmed by the Centennial Partnership Agreement between our countries. Together we are working on the common security of Ukraine, Europe and the whole world," the Ukrainian minister added.
In addition, Umierov noted that Ukraine expects a productive Ramstein meeting and new decisions to strengthen the Armed Forces.
Today, on February 12, a meeting of the Ukraine Defense Contact Group (UDCG) in the Ramstein format began in Brussels.
