Starmer: Britain is ready to send troops to Ukraine to ensure implementation of peace agreements

British Prime Minister Keir Starmer said that his country is ready to send troops to Ukraine to provide security guarantees.
This was reported by Censor.NET with reference to Interfax-Ukraine.
"The UK is ready to play a leading role in accelerating work on security guarantees for Ukraine. This includes continued support for the Ukrainian military, where the UK is already committed to £3 billion a year until at least 2030. It also means being ready and willing to contribute to Ukraine's security assurances by deploying our own troops on the ground if necessary," the Prime Minister said.
He also added that "any role in helping to ensure the security of Ukraine helps to ensure the security of our continent and the security of this country (Britain - Ed.)".
Starmer is convinced that the end of the war cannot simply be a temporary pause before Putin's next attack.
According to him, the UK can play a "unique role" as a bridge between Europe and the US in the peace process in Ukraine.
"These crucial days ahead will determine the future security of our continent. As I will say in Paris, peace comes through strength. But the opposite is also true. Weakness leads to war," the British Prime Minister stressed.
"This is a moment for all of us to step up - and the United Kingdom will do so because it is the right thing to do for the values and freedoms we hold dear and because it is fundamental to our own national security," the British official concluded.
