In Lviv region, TCR military officer was attacked and wounded while escorting conscripts to MMC

In Zhovkva, Lviv region, unknown persons attacked a military of TCR

On Monday, February 17, in the city of Zhovkva, Lviv region, unidentified persons attacked a military officer of the TCR when he was accompanying two mobilized citizens to undergo a military medical commission (MMC).

This was reported by the Lviv TCR, Censor.NET reports.

It is noted that the military officer of the TCR accompanied two mobilized people to Zhovkva hospital to undergo a military medical commission. At 11:45 a.m., two unidentified men attacked the TCR employee.

"While moving along Lvivska Street at 11:45 a.m., he was subjected to a brazen attack. Two unidentified individuals assaulted the serviceman, inflicting cut wounds with an unknown sharp object," the statement said.

After the attack, one of the mobilized men fled and was put on the wanted list.

The TCR believes that the probable cause of the attack was an attempt to create conditions for the escape of one of the conscripts who was to undergo a medical examination.

Law enforcement officers opened criminal proceedings under Article 125 of the Criminal Code of Ukraine (intentional light bodily harm). An internal investigation is also underway at the Lviv District TCR.

This crime is not just an act of cowardice, but a blatant display of disregard for those who risk their lives every day for the country. Thousands of Ukrainians on the front lines fulfill their duty without hesitation. Meanwhile, there are those in the rear who choose the shameful path of escape, even stooping to attack soldiers. The fear of death is natural. But stabbing those who defend your land in the back is not fear, it's treachery. Attacking a serviceman is not just a crime, it's betrayal," the military commissariat added.
