Trump announces meeting of representatives of Ukraine, US and Russia in Saudi Arabia

Donald Trump's administration has temporarily suspended consideration of immigration applications submitted by migrants from Ukraine and Latin America.

This was reported by CBS News, citing its own sources, Censor.NET informs.

According to the publication, the decision was made for an indefinite period. During this time, government officials will conduct additional checks to identify possible fraud and improve application procedures to reduce risks to national and public security.

The suspension applies to several programmes introduced by the Biden administration. These include:

  • Uniting for Ukraine is a programme that has allowed the entry of about 240,000 Ukrainians with sponsors in the United States.
  • CHNV is a programme for Cubans, Haitians, Nicaraguans and Venezuelans that has allowed 530,000 migrants to enter the country.
