Vance warned Zelenskyy against publicly "badmouthing’" Trump: Opinion will not change

U.S. Vice President J.D. Vance has threatened Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelenskyy for "badmouthing" and "attacking" U.S. President Donald Trump in public. In his opinion, this will lead to negative consequences.
According to Censor.NET, he said this in an interview with the British tabloid Daily Mail.
Vance spoke to the media a few hours after Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelenskyy accused Trump of living in a "disinformation space" created by Russia.
"The idea that Zelenskyy is going to change the [US] president's mind by
badmouthing him in the public media is the worst way to interact with this administration," Vance said.
According to him, Trump's statements are his position, which is not based on Russian disinformation.
"It's based on the fact that Donald Trump, I think, knows a lot about geopolitics and has a very strong view, and has had a strong view for a very long time," the US vice president said.
According to Vance, Zelenskyy allegedly received "bad advice" on how to deal with the new White House administration, and over the past three years, he has been told that he "can do no wrong."
"We obviously love the Ukrainian people. We admire the bravery of the soldiers, but we obviously believe that this war needs to end quickly," the US vice president added.
Trump's statements about Zelenskyy's rating
As a reminder, on February 19, US President Donald Trump in a new statement called Ukrainian leader Volodymyr Zelenskyy a "dictator without elections" because he allegedly convinced America to "spend $350 billion on the war."
The day before, Trump said that Ukraine needs to hold elections because Zelenskyy's approval rating has dropped to 4%.
As of the first half of February 2025, 57% of Ukrainians trust President Volodymyr Zelenskyy, while 37% do not, according to a KIIS study.
Volodymyr Zelenskyy called the statements about his 4% rating disinformation.
