Netherlands provided Ukraine with military aid worth almost EUR 6 billion

Since the beginning of Russia's full-scale invasion, the Netherlands has provided Ukraine with military assistance worth almost €6 billion.
According to Censor.NET, citing Ukrinform, this was reported by the Dutch Ministry of Defence.
"The total value of the Netherlands' military support for Ukraine has increased to almost €5.88 billion. This is the amount as of 4 February. The support consists of machinery and equipment. This was announced by Dutch Defence Minister Ruben Brekelmans in a letter to the House of Representatives," the statement said.
It is noted that this is 2.12 billion euros more than in September 2024. The Netherlands supplied, in particular, F-16 fighters, combat vehicles and air defence systems.
In addition, the Netherlands supplied drones, radars, ammunition for tanks and artillery, as well as individual weapons, including machine guns. ATVs, Mercedes-Benz off-road vehicles, medical equipment and food packages were also sent.
In addition, the Netherlands sent 255 troops to Germany and 350 to the UK to train the Ukrainian military.
"Ukraine has an urgent need for significant volumes of military equipment. High demand leads to rapid price increases and delays in deliveries. The production of weapons and equipment is not fast enough to meet the high demand. Therefore, the Netherlands wants the defence industry to produce more. The Ministry of Defence is making efforts to increase the production capacity of the defence industry, in particular through the drone plan," the statement said.
