"Swarm" of drones will appear in Ukraine in 2025 – Fedorov
This year, a so-called "swarm" of drones will start operating in Ukraine. Also, the production of explosives is going to be launched this year.
This was announced by Deputy Prime Minister for Innovation, Education, Science and Technology Development - Minister of Digital Transformation Mykhailo Fedorov, Censor.NET reports.
"There are already a dozen companies working on this, and we are constantly testing it at testing grounds. I think this is the prospect of the near future. That is, this year we will see how a swarm of drones work," Fedorov said.
The Minister of Digital Transformation also announced the launch of explosives production in Ukraine.
According to Fedorov, bureaucratic obstacles are already being removed at the legislative level and appropriate grants will be provided.
"They allowed us to import components for production. The next step is financial support. We will launch it very quickly. It was the President who set the task to find funds six months ago, so they have already been allocated, a program has already been developed, and we will soon announce publicly that companies dealing with gunpowder can join this project," the minister said.
As Fedorov explained, the licensing requirements by default create safe conditions for production, which means that production facilities should be located away from people's homes.
Creating its own explosives production will help Ukraine reduce the need for imports and strengthen its defense capabilities. The official announcement of this initiative is scheduled for the near future, he added.
