Putin: "Zelenskyy’s rating is twice as low as Zaluzhnyi’s"

Russian dictator Vladimir Putin said that according to "Russian data," the rating of Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelenskyy is allegedly lower than that of former Armed Forces Commander-in-Chief Valeriy Zaluzhnyi.
According to Censor.NET, he was quoted by Russian media at a meeting on the development of the rare earth metals industry in Russia.
According to him, Russia allegedly has nothing against the preservation of Ukrainian statehood.
"Russia has nothing against the preservation of Ukrainian statehood, but the territory should not be used as an enemy foothold for Russia," Putin said.
At the same time, the Kremlin leader claims that Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelenskyy is allegedly becoming a "toxic figure for the Armed Forces and for society as a whole."
According to him, Zelenskyy has allegedly driven himself into a dead end by banning himself from negotiations with Russia.
"Zelenskyy is in trouble because as soon as martial law is lifted, he will immediately have to go to the polls," the Russian dictator said.
He also suggested that Zelenskyy's chances of winning the presidential election in Ukraine are "zero."
Putin says that "according to Russian data, Zelenskyy's rating is half that of Zaluzhnyi."
He said that US President Donald Trump "wants to improve the political situation in Ukraine" and that such an attempt by the US president "is more in favor of Ukraine itself than Russia."
Trump's statements about Zelenskyy's rating
The day before, Trump said that elections should be held in Ukraine, as Zelenskyy's approval rating had fallen to 4%.
As of the first half of February 2025, 57% of Ukrainians trust President Volodymyr Zelenskyy, while 37% do not, according to a KIIS survey.
Volodymyr Zelenskyy called the statements about his 4% rating disinformation.
Earlier, US President Donald Trump called Ukrainian leader Volodymyr Zelenskyy a "dictator without elections" because he allegedly convinced America to "spend $350 billion on the war".
