Putin is dictator and monster. We cannot reward Russia for invading Ukraine - Democratic Senator Suozzi

Senator Tom Suozzi, a representative of the New York Democratic Party, called Kremlin leader Vladimir Putin a dictator, reminding that Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelenskyy was elected by the vast majority of Ukrainians.
He said this at a press conference in the US Congress, Censor.NET reports.
Suozzi reminded that Zelenskyy was elected by 73% of citizens in democratic elections.
The American official emphasized that it was the Russians who invaded Ukraine, and "it's pointless to give something to Putin and make him stop, as Chamberlain once did with Hitler."
"If we now give in to Russia and reward the invasion of an ally state with a democratically elected president, what will Latvia, Lithuania, Estonia, and Poland say? Putin is a beast, he is a monster, he is a dictator. We cannot allow this to become the norm," Suozzi emphasized.
The Democratic senator also added that it was Russian troops who raped and killed people and abducted children.
The day before, Republican Congressman Dan Crenshaw said that the United States seeks a lasting peace, which "of course includes security guarantees." Europe needs to redouble its efforts to provide security guarantees, as it is its continent.
Chairman of the US Senate Military Committee Roger Wicker called Russian dictator Vladimir Putin a war criminal who should be imprisoned for the rest of his life or executed for his actions.
