DPA controlled by Umerov has not signed single contract for ammunition since beginning of the year, - Shabunin

DPA has not signed single contract in month

The Defense Procurement Agency has not signed a single contract for the purchase of ammunition since the beginning of 2025.

This was announced by the head of the Defense Procurement Agency, Vitaliy Shabunin, Censor.NET reports.

"Do you know how many contracts for ammunition have been signed this month by the arms factory fully controlled by Umerov? Zero. Zero. No contract for ammunition. Here is the document. I'll tell you more: since the beginning of the year - that is, for the last TWO months - the AOZ has signed ZERO contracts for ammunition. (January can be confirmed by a journalistic request)," the statement said.

Shabunin quoted Zelensky, who gave Umerov carte blanche to "do everything so that there is no inhibition in the supply."

"We have a defense minister who clearly understands that, God forbid, if there are any pauses in supporting our army, there will be not only losses among the military, there will be losses among the civilian population, children will suffer, there will be more strikes, Russia will be stronger."

What preceded it?

Earlier, the Supervisory Board of the Defense Procurement Agency of the Ministry of Defense signed an additional agreement to the contract with the current director of the Defense Procurement Agency for a period of 1 year.

However, later, the Minister of Defense of Ukraine Rustem Umerov said that the Defense Procurement Agency had failed in its work over the past six months and announced the dismissal of his deputy Dmytro Klimenkov and the change of the Defense Procurement Agency's management.

Subsequently, Arsen Zhumadilov, head of the State Operator of the Logistics, confirmed that he would take the second position - head of the Defense Procurement Agency.

At the same time, on Friday, January 24, Maryna Bezrukova said that she remained the current head of the Defense Procurement Agency, despite the Ministry of Defense's refusal to extend her contract.

Subsequently, the Unified State Register of Legal Entities once again changed the record of the Director of the Defense Procurement Agency. Instead of Arsen Zhumadilov, Maryna Bezrukova was again listed as the director.

The Ministry of Defense has filed a complaint with the Ministry of Justice regarding the return of Maryna Bezrukova to the position of the head of the Defense Procurement Agency.
