EU leaders to discuss appointment of Ukraine negotiator at special summit - Bloomberg

At a special summit to be held on 6 March, EU leaders will discuss the appointment of their representative in possible negotiations to end the war in Ukraine.
According to Censor.NET, Bloomberg reports this with reference to sources.
Several European leaders have previously called for the appointment of such a representative after Donald Trump spoke directly with Vladimir Putin, leaving the bloc ‘out of the loop’ in the negotiations.
According to the agency's sources, the EU leaders' summit on 6 March will also discuss the development of a common position on defence, both for rearmament of the continent and with regard to Ukraine.
In addition, the leaders will discuss the EU's expectations of what peace in Ukraine will look like and what security guarantees they can offer in the context of the negotiations.
As a reminder, the President of the European Council, Antonio Costa, invited Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelenskyy to the EU summit in March.
