Since the beginning of the full-scale invasion of Russia, more than 6,900 cases of the use of ammunition containing hazardous chemicals by the Russian occupiers have been confirmed.

This was reported by Censor.NET with reference to the press service of the Ministry of Defence.

"During the large-scale war, almost 3,400 Ukrainian servicemen with signs of poisoning by an unknown chemical substance have already received medical care," said Colonel Valerii Weber, deputy head of the Main Directorate of Mine Action, Civil Protection and Environmental Safety of the Ministry of Defence.

A seminar was held in Zilina, Slovakia, as part of a command and staff exercise on the criminal prosecution of chemical, bacteriological, radiological and nuclear (CBRN) crimes.

The event was aimed at strengthening capacities in the criminal prosecution of chemical, bacteriological, radiological and nuclear crimes.

"The participants got acquainted with international experience, gained in-depth knowledge and understanding of legal instruments, analysed national and international legislation (conventions, amendments and other obligations) in force in the field of prosecuting CBRN crimes," the Ministry of Defence added.
