Peskov supported Rubio’s words about proxy war between Russia and United States: We have repeatedly talked about this
Russia has supported the statement of US Secretary of State Marco Rubio, who called the fighting in Ukraine a proxy war between Russia and the United States.
According to Censor.NET, citing the Russian "Interfax" news agency, this was stated by Russian dictator Vladimir Putin's spokesman Dmitry Peskov.
"We can and want to agree with this, and we agree with this. This is the case. We have repeatedly spoken about this. We have said that this is, in fact, a conflict between Russia and the collective West, and the main country of the collective West is the United States," Peskov said.
He added that "this is absolutely in line with the position that our president and foreign minister have repeatedly expressed, and we have repeatedly talked about it".
In addition, Peskov said that the Kremlin agrees that ‘it is time to stop this conflict and this war’.
Earlier, US Secretary of State Marco Rubio called the fighting in Ukraine a proxy war between the nuclear powers - the United States, which is helping Ukraine, and Russia.
