President of the European Commission Ursula von der Leyen believes that Europe faces an obvious threat.
She said this before the EU summit meeting, Censor.NET reports citing the EP.
"In times of emergency, special measures are needed. This is a pivotal moment for Europe and for Ukraine, which is part of our European family. Europe is facing a clear, obvious threat," she emphasized.
Von der Leyen added that Europe must be able to defend itself
"As well as to make sure that Ukraine can defend itself and promote a just and sustainable peace," the President of the European Commission summarized.
