Rubio: Ukraine is ready to get to table and stop shooting

After today's talks with the Ukrainian delegation in Saudi Arabia, US Secretary of State Marco Rubio said that "the ball is now in Russia's court".
He told journalists about this, Censor.NET reports.
"Ukraine has made a positive step, and we hope that the Russians will reciprocate," he said.
He emphasised that the ball is now in Russia's court regarding peace in Ukraine.
"Today we made an offer that the Ukrainians accepted, namely to conclude a ceasefire agreement and start immediate negotiations to end this conflict in a lasting and sustainable way. The best gesture of goodwill that the Russians can make is to say yes to the Ukrainians' proposal to stop shooting, stop fighting and come to the negotiating table. If they do that, it would be the best sign of goodwill we could see," Rubio added.
National Security Adviser Mike Waltz added that it was "quite clear" that Ukraine shares Donald Trump's vision for peace, saying that "they share his determination to end the fighting".
Ukraine and the United States negotiate in Saudi Arabia
Earlier, President of Ukraine Volodymyr Zelenskyy said that the teams of Ukraine and the United States had resumed work and a "substantive meeting" could take place next week.
According to Fox News, the delegations of Ukraine and the United States will meet in the Saudi capital Riyadh next Tuesday, March 11.
Ukraine's Foreign Ministry believes that the meeting between the US and Ukraine in Riyadh is an opportunity to sign an agreement on minerals.
The Ukrainian and US teams issued a joint statement following the meeting in Saudi Arabia: The US resumes military assistance, and the possibility of a 30-day ceasefire will be discussed with Russia.
