Details of ceasefire to be discussed next week - Presidential Administration

Ukraine-Russia meeting in Jeddah

Next week, the discussion of details of the ceasefire agreed upon between Ukraine and the United States at the talks in Jeddah will begin.

This was stated by the Head of the President's Office Andrii Yermak, Censor.NET reports citing Ukrinform.

"Next week, we have already agreed that the teams will start talking about all the details at the technical expert level," Yermak said.

According to him, during the meeting of the Ukrainian and American delegations in Jeddah, various options for security guarantees were discussed.

"We considered different options today and different (options) are on the table today. Since these consultations, these negotiations are still ongoing, I would not like to talk about any specific ones today... But these are definitely the guarantees that will absolutely prevent any aggression in the future," Yermak said.

The head of the OP noted that security guarantees are being considered with the participation of both the United States and European partners.

"We understand exactly what we need. Our American partners understand this. They are sympathetic to this issue, but these conversations are ongoing. Today we have taken the first step, a very important one. And there is still a lot of work to be done," Yermak said.

As Ukrainian Defence Minister Rustem Umierov added at the briefing, there are framework agreements that the Ukrainian team is continuing to communicate with the US team at the operational level.

As reported, after the talks in Jeddah, the US will resume military assistance, and a 30-day ceasefire will be discussed with Russia. Zelenskyy later clarified that Ukraine is ready for a complete ceasefire if the Russians are ready.

Earlier, it was reported that a Ukrainian delegation had arrived in Jeddah, Saudi Arabia, for talks with the United States. The talks began at around 11.00 a.m. on 11 March.

Ukraine-US talks in Saudi Arabia

Earlier, President of Ukraine Volodymyr Zelenskyy said that the Ukrainian and US teams had resumed work and a "meaningful meeting" could take place next week.

According to Fox News, on 11 March, the delegations of Ukraine and the United States will meet in the Saudi capital Riyadh.

Ukraine's Foreign Ministry believes that the meeting between the US and Ukraine in Riyadh is an opportunity to sign an agreement on minerals.
