Rubio on monitoring ceasefire in Ukraine: there are many eyes, it will be difficult to hide drone and missile strikes

U.S. Secretary of State Marco Rubio expressed his belief that it would be easy to monitor the ceasefire between Ukraine and Russia with the consent of both sides.
He told journalists about this on Wednesday during a flight to Canada, where the G7 ministerial meeting is to take place, Fox News reports, Censor.NET informs.
According to Rubio, there are many opportunities to capture potential cases of fire violations on the ground, as well as from the air and space.
"The interesting thing about modern warfare is that it is easier to monitor than ever before. There are a lot of 'eyes' on the ground and above, commercial satellites. It will be quite difficult to hide strikes with drones, missiles, ballistics, artillery. We believe that it will be possible to monitor this," said the head of US diplomacy.
He noted that the ceasefire requires Russia's consent, and the United States hopes for it. If the Russian Federation does not reject the ceasefire, it will be agreed who will be on the ground and how to monitor the ceasefire. Rubio noted that there are established practices in this regard.
"I don't think it's going to be difficult to establish," the head of the State Department said.
As reported, after the talks in Jeddah, the United States will resume military assistance and discuss the possibility of a 30-day ceasefire with Russia. Zelenskyy later clarified that Ukraine is ready for a complete ceasefire if the Russians are ready.
